Hiatus Ending, New Reviews Coming

New Columns Coming Work and other writing projects, and just decisions on things to review, have kept me from my hoped-for weekly schedule. Not that anyone is following this blog yet. Few have even stumbled upon it. When I left off, I remember that I wanted to do a Inhumans vs. The Gifted column. But then I didn't because I found out that the Inhumans was only a miniseries, and maybe I'd wait until it was over. And then I thought that I'd just do two separate columns. And then ... excuse, excuse, delay, delay. Likewise, I thought I could do a Orville vs. Star Trek: Discovery column, but the obvious setback is that I don't have access to the new Star Trek. Granted, now that the season is over, I could use the free introductory month to binge the season, should I find a month when I have that much time. Welcome to my newest blog!

Maybe you have found this blog and you're wondering, "Who is Mr. Burke?" or "Reviews what?" Those are reasonable questions. To answer the first one, my students call me "Mr. Burke" and that was the name I incorporated into "Mr. Burke's Math Blog" back in 2006. That blog didn't get a lot of use from my students, but it did morph into something else: mostly a home for my math comic (x, why?) as well as occasional articles about math, as well as answers to state exams. At some point, I branched out a little. I read when I can, but I have a tendency to forget details about the things I've read. Sometimes, I've forgotten I've read entire books (to be fair, they were forgettable books, most likely). So I created Mr. Burke Reads , mostly to help my memory, but sometimes they read like reviews because people stumble upon the blog through search engines or the like.
